Short Bio
Francesco Viti is head of the MobiLab Transport Research Group at the University of Luxembourg, member of the Computational Engineering Institute at the Department of Engineering, associate member of the MIT Center for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL) and of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). His research activities range from mobility and travel behavior analysis, development of decision support systems for travellers and for transport operators, Intelligent Transport Systems and network modelling and control. He carries on national and EU funded research projects in collaborations with academics, industry and policy makers. He is author of over 230 journal and conference papers (110 indexed in Scopus). He is reviewer of top journals in the transportation domain, and associate editor of the Journal of ITS, the Journal of Advanced Transportation and Frontiers on Future Transportation, and in the editorial board of Transportation Research Part C and Sustainability. He acts as Expert for the European Commission since 2006, and is consultant for the European Investment Bank and for the Luxembourgish Ministry of Mobility and Public Works and of the Ministry of Economy.
