Short Bio
am a researcher in the field of transport planning and policymaking.

My research focus is on how stakeholders engagement and participatory approach in group model building can enhance a transition process toward a sustainable and decarbonised transport system. I also examined how such a process can enhance the robustness of an adaptive plan to implement smart mobility solutions, such as Mobility as a Service (MaaS).

I am currently the executive director of the Global Carbon Project (Japan office) and a research associate at the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES).

My research interests range from decarbonisation of the transport system, mobility planning, transport service for the elderly, Mobility-as-a-Service, ride-hailing, demand-responsive transport service, and planning under uncertainty. I employs tools such as System Dynamics, Adaptive Planning, Assumption-based planning, Delphi method, and other mixed-methods to investigate these topics.
